Easter Services: 6:45 a.m. Sunrise Service on the beach at Lighthouse Park AND Traditional Easter Service at 10:00 a.m.
Be A Church Volunteer-There are many opportunities for service through our church. Please email the church office if you want to be involved. We will help you find your passion.
Backpack Buddies-This mission is completed for the 2024-2025 school year. Volunteer with us starting in the fall of 2025.
Grief Support Group-GriefShare meets every Monday at 10:00 a.m. All are welcome. It is open to the entire community.
Aaron’s Meals-Our church has committed to supplying 35 dozen desserts for Aaron’s Meals on the 3rd Monday of each month. As a part of our Lenten Mission Focus, we have added TWO ADDITIONAL DELIVERIES-March 31st and April 28th. We have chosen cookies, brownies, or cookie bars. They can be baked in advance and stored in the church’s freezer (Place 2 items per snack bag). Deliver your bagged desserts to the church.
Coffeehouse Concert 11:00 a.m. on April 30th at the Senior Center in Apalachicola. Emily Ann Thompson is the visiting artist. Donation is $10. Please plan to come and bring a friend to pack the house.
Nominations Meeting on Thursday, April 24th at 2:00 p.m. A reminder email was sent to all committee members. If you are a member and did not receive the email, please let Rev. White know.
Prayer Team-The prayer team meets in the Worship Center on Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. If you want a prayer or praise added to our list, please email the church office.
Men’s Prayer Breakfast-The Men’s Community Interfaith Prayer & Devotion Breakfast meets year-round on Wednesdays at 8:15 a.m. at the Beach Pit BBQ Restaurant, 401 W Pine Ave, SGI. All men are welcome to attend.
Island Girl Chair Yoga-Meets every Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. in the Fellowship Hall. You don’t need to bring any equipment-a chair will be provided. We are very blessed to have Cindy Donald and Betsy Nofziger as the Yoga instructors. Cash donations are accepted to support church missions.
United Women in Faith Luncheon and Meeting-Bring a dish to share while socializing and planning on Wednesday, April 16th at noon. Plan to join in for updates and ideas.
Lenten Bible Study-The Third Day, written by Bishop Tom Berlin and Rev. Mark Miller and led by Rev. William White will meet for the second session on April 16th from 6-7 p.m. This is the final session.
North West District Clergy/Laity Event-Join Rev. White for a special Clergy/Laity event on Saturday, April 25th from 10:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. at Trinity UMC in Gainesville, FL (4000 NW 53rd Avenue). District Superintendant, Re. Catherine Fluck Price and the District office are hosting this event. Rev. Dr. Paul Chilcote will be the key note speaker. Lunch will be available. The cost is $10/person and online registration is appreciated. See Nancy for the link to register.
Kids Klub at Hope Park-Meets every Thursday from 6:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m. for fun and games. Be sure to share this information with anyone who has school-aged children. Please contact the church office for ways to volunteer.
Caring and Sharing Ministry-Do you know someone who has an injury, surgery, or needs a meal or rides to an appointment, shopping, or any other need? Please contact the church so we can get the help needed. If you are interested in volunteering, contact the church se we can put you in touch with the coordinator.

Offering our gifts to God-The offering is an opportunity to show thanks to God in a tangible way and share the financial blessings that God has entrusted to our care. SGIUMC is entirely supported by our members and generous island visitors. With your gifts, we can serve the island and the children and youth of Eastpoint.
