Ash Wednesday Worship Service

Participate in an ancient rite as we receive the mark of the cross on our foreheads and begin the season of Lent. On Ash Wednesday, Christians receive a cross of ashes on their foreheads. The ashes are made from the previous year's Palm Sunday palms. This act reminds us of our humanity and our dependence on God's grace, as expressed in Genesis 3: 19-

"Remember that you are dust, and to dust you shall return."
