St. George Island UMC has teamed up with other local churches to create Hope Park. Organizers hope the park will lead to a rejuvenation of a hard-hit area of Eastpoint, Florida. An area ravaged by fire and hurricane Michael, and over recent years by a methamphetamine drug epidemic, Hope Park is a place born of faith and offers a safe place for the children and seniors in the community.

Here at Hope Park we have Kids Klub activities every Thursday night from 6:00-8:00 pm for children ages 6 years to 12 years of age. At Kids Klub, we serve a hot meal then we alternate weeks of Bible Study and activities or crafts & games. We are currently studying Prayer and how it connects us to God.

Each month Hope Park invites area senior citizens of all faiths to Hope Park to join together for a Senior lunch. Each monthly luncheon features a free hot meal, a spiritually uplifting program, and great fellowship.

With local support and a lot of work, we aim to achieve this faith-inspired vision of building a park for families and children in the heart of Ridge, Wilderness and Bear Creek Road.
