Members of the church and community gathered at SGIUMC at 6pm to participate in a Stations of the Cross Prayer Walk. Participants actively engaged with Judas as he pondered the 30 pieces of silver paid for Jesus' betrayal, Pontius Pilate as he came to a conflicted decision about releasing the prisoner, Barabbas in lieu of Jesus, Simon of Cyrene as he took the burden of bearing the crucifixion cross through the streets of Jerusalem, and the centurions as they kneeled at the feet of Jesus and gambled away his clothing as he died on the cross. This memorable event encourages us to remember the sacrifice of Jesus during the final week and day of his life, prior to the glorious resurrection of Easter Sunday.

We thank those who participated as volunteers (gathering and making props, set-up, and actors), as well as those who came to view the event. This event would not have been possible without the many hands and feet of Jesus who call themselves members and friends of SGIUMC!
